May has been painting since elementary school when a local company came around seeking young artists. Eventually the company was sold, and May began to paint for random events for friends, family, and community. Realizing the demand in face painting is rising, May started MetamorFaces and has since been doing all sorts of events ranging from private birthday parties, corporate events, community holidays, festivals, fundraisers, and charity events such as the Walk, Run, and Roll for Rogers House, Cure for Diabetes, Underwear Affair for all cancers below the belt, as well as previously painting at the Teddy Bear picnic for CHEO.

Investing in high quality materials has been a project that requires experimenting with different brands to find those that are comfortable to use and come off easily. Majority of this experimenting has been either through trial and error in purchasing known brands, while others included painting at the Ron Maslin Playhouse, a local theatre, for their Christmas productions and getting accustomed to paint that is designed to stay on through hot lights on stage and heavy dance numbers.
Aside from face painting, May is a student at Carleton studying Interactive Multimedia & Design: www.maymazor.com and runs the Ottawa division of a Montreal-based entertainment business: Creative T-Shirt Parties: www.tshirtparty.com. May has also recently started a food blog www.noms.maymazor.com which might even help you with menu ideas for your upcoming party!
